Utilizing proprietary surface technologies and 3 µm particle size, BioMix-300 phase is made of uniform, hydrophilic, and neutral nanometer thick films chemically bonded on the high purity and enhanced mechanical stability silica. The proprietary surface technologies allow the chemistry of thin film formation to be well controlled, which results in high column-to-column reproducibility. The nature of the chemical bonding and the uniformity of the thin film benefit BioMix-300 phase with high stability. BioMix-300 resin is produced from 3 µm spherical silica particles with a pore size of 300 Å. BioMix-300 columns are packed with a proprietary slurry technique to achieve uniform and stable packing bed density for maximum column efficiency. BioMix-300 phase is designed to ensure highest resolution and maximum recovery for a broad range of analytes such as bispecific mAb, hydrophobic samples etc.
BioMix-300 columns use chemically modified silica packing, which allows exceptionally high stability. They are compatible with most aqueous buffers, such as ammonium acetate, phosphate, tris, etc. When 150 mM phosphate buffer at pH 7.0 is used as the mobile phase to run BioMix-300 columns, 300 injections or 1 month of usage has negligible deterioration.
